Best Movie Moment (1 Viewer)

One of my all time favorite scenes is from "Glory"; as the 54th marches onto the beach prior to assaulting battery wagner, Denzel Washington passes a Union soldier who had started a fight with Denzel earlier in the movie by disrespecting the colored troops with a line I can't use here.

Their eyes meet and the Union soldier yells "Give em Hell 54th!", setting off loud cheers from the Union troops watching the 54th march off to their deaths.

Gives me chills everytime I see it.............

Oh, how I agree!!! I love the "Give 'Em Hell 54th Line." It gives me chills too. I always replay that part a few times when I watch the movie. I also love the combination of pride and fear that we see in the faces of the soldiers and Colonel Shaw - very realistic in my opinion.

Great minds think alike. "We's ready Colonel"........gets me everytime too, really a terrific movie on so many levels.

Like you screen name too; First Corp, First Division, First Brigade, Army of the Potomac....................

A good movie moment that gets me every time is in the "ROCK"
when the Seal Team come up into the shower block a great scene and great acting by Ed Harris and Michael Biehn (I think he has played a Navy Seal about 4 times) anyway very chilling scene with the music

best comedy moment - 'infamy infamy - they've all got it in for me!'

Best war moment - ooooooooooooooooo that's hard - probably Toms Hanks being told - your mother wouldn't be pleased to see you do that Captain - on the beach in SPR - captured the violence, horror, comradeship, teamwork, self sacrifice and sheer courage in one short scene.

But can I have 40000000 million more picks please......

Gregory Peck in Pork Chop Hill for example

The last scene in Unforgiven when Clint Eastwood walks into the bar to kill Little Bill for killing Ned.

Little Bill Dagget, "I will see you in hell William Mooney."

William Munny, "Yeah."

This is my favorite western.

I am still thinking about the best scene from a war movie.
