Agree with Louis.. the K&C Christmas set is a very nice set..
Honour Bound german medic set is another standout for me..
K&C hitler staff car (the green one) was another one ..especialy the detachable figures which makes it more versatile.. and the K&C flame thrower set .collector's showcase horch with the yellow on grey cammo is another fine piece as is the CS LAH standard bearer and the ongoing V1/V2 figarti series

to pick one ..have to say the HB medic set...its a nicely done , natural complete scene that tells its own story:cool::cool::cool:

My vote goes to the Rorke's Drift hospital by WBritain. It is incredibly well done.

I noticed that Others catagory leads the poll as I'm typing this. I'm surprised that no series from WBritain was mention. By far based on the sculpting, painting, poses and accessories along with price for their Matte Zulu War Series provided us to date with the best over all series for 2008 as well as their overall product line. I'm sure they will be those of you who will disagree with me but then again I'm sure there's a number who will.......The Lt.

Although I chose the whaleboat (must have had a brain freeze as I don't collect JJ figures) I did think it was my favourite of the ones offered.

I do agree with the LT. The Britains Zulu figures along with others from there different series are beautifully done. So much so that I have requested the Zulu figures for my collection (which at the moment is all gloss) I am looking forward to seeing these figures on Christmas morning and hope Sanata has room in his sleigh for the hospital :D :D :D

I would second this assessment. I hope WB keep on developing this line. The WB 18 pounder and limber from WWI was also spectacular. Let us not forget some great new glossy sets from Little Legion. Best set by K and C was DAK Panzer from Feb 2008.

I selected other. Maybe there should be two polls one for the big producer of toy soldiers and one for the small manufactures.

I really liked the K&C King Tiger, Little Legion sets and Britains sets.

It is just to hard to pick one.

Second that, Brian...who's this K&C I keep reading about?

Mike,

I am not really sure who this K&C is, but every once in awhile a strange tank appears among my Zulus. I have not figured how this happens. Can anyone provide me with an explanation?

For me it the 88 flak 18 gun , who else would make it but K&C

Only One for Me .....

:D :D :D :D

I had to vote "other". I don't know the criteria but since I only buy WW2 US stuff there wasn't any item in the selection that I would buy. Anyway, looking at the concept of an item that you really waited for and honestly feels fills a niche in your collection then my vote goes to the Forces Of Valor US 2 1/2 ton 6X6 truck - incredibly long overdue in 1/32nd scale.

I voted 'other' because for the most part the other items are not my cup of tea. I did see The John Jenkins Whaleboat at the Hackensack Show and it is a beauty.

I'd vote for WBritain French-Indian War collection, and frankly, it's not just my opinion, it's the right choice. This collection is #1. I put it in the BCS computers and they confirmed it; #1.

I am fully with you on this and would add Imperial's 2 new releases.

Cheers,
Paulo

My favourite vehicles of the year are the Figarti DAK Pz.IV and the Figarti "Monty" Grant. They make good companion pieces side by side.
I also love the K&C Market Garden Jeeps (i had one for Christmas so does this count as for 2008 :) )

My other favourite purchases this year are all K&C...

Rommel's Horch
The 250 half track
The 88 flak wagon ( awesome piece)
The winter Chaffee

Favourite figures are K&C's new Polish Paras and the latest FJ mortar set.
