The french foriegn legion in the desert -- beau geste. Nothing has really been done covering europe in the 1500-1700 year range.

Has anyone ever done the Spanish conquest of the Incan Empire?

Or even the Incan Wars, the five-year long civil war was devastating. Hundreds of thousands of people were killed.

Maybe Spanish Conquistadors pushing Christianity and Catholisism?

Pizzaro, Cabeza de Vaca, Balboa.

Some pretty good figures could be done from that.

There were some horrific slaughters. Very barbaric!

Has it ever been tried?

Now, just my opinion, but I think that's an excellent suggestion and fits in with my oft-requested Mongol Empire. There's a vast variety there including Polish, Ukranians and Egyptian Marmadukes as well.

I know I've voiced this alot, but modern would be great!!! My mates across the pond want the Falkland Wars, I would like Grenada, Panama, Gulf War, and Mogandisha! After seeing Gran Torino last night, I have become more convinced Clint is an AMAZING ACTOR and it would be amazing if they produced a figure based off "Gunny" (Eastwood) from Heartbreak Ridge! But I will say Seminole wars does sound interesting!

Vick,

Don't go getting distracted by Ron's Seminole Indians crusade :D;), you're right first time - Modern conflicts are what is needed. I'd be over the moon with Falklands or any of your modern war suggestions.

Yeah, you're right Wraith, in the next week or so, I'm picking up Black Hawk Down, 3 disc edition. Wraith, then you must get Just Cause (Panama) with the Falklands, as Just Cause saw the last major airborne drop!

Hey, Any Modern is good Modern :).

Black Hawk Down is one of those movies I can watch over and over, without tiring of it.

I think these pictures could help produce some pretty cool poses:

Hey - I need all the help I can get with my CRUSADE ! :D

Very Cool Idea - SEMINOLE INDIAN WARS

Hey guys,
For others I would go for a series based on Black Hawk Down. Does not have to be big series. Humvee and downed Black Hawk and say 20 figures. Very popular movie which strikes a chord with military, ex-military or military enthusiasts.

We really need coverage of the Arab-Israeli wars, especially 1948 and 1956 in which a lot of WWII surplus was used. This would be great for conversions and repaints of 21cent and FOV.

I would also like to see coverage of the French Foreign Legion in post world war II Algeria and Vietnam.

I'd love Arab/Israeli (anything from 48-present) or Vlad the Impaler-era lines. I'm researching the so-called historical Dracula for my writing, and was actually going to start a separate thread asking if there had been anything done in the 15th century with Ottomans vs. Balkans or Byzantines. I seem to remember that there may have been miniatures made to coincide with Coppola's "Bram Stoker's Dracula"

But I have to back up Wraith by saying I'd buy pretty much anything in the modern era. Kudos to K&C for Special Forces and Figarti for Iraq and Vietnam, but beyond that there's very little in the way.
