Best WW2 Line???? (1 Viewer)

Completely Agree.....Facts are Facts.......First Legion is definitely the most detailed, realistic, true 1:30th scale WWII product out there today....... AFV's are excellent especially the Grey PanzerIII (My personal favorite) Which is in perfect scale balance with their figures....Now the winter T-34......EXCELLENT...............and Now Matt is getting into WWII Normandy....those figures appear to be superb for the guys who want the "western front"....First Legion Rules....of course that is only my humble (honest) opinion:wink2:

Well said :salute::

Hands down K&C Market Garden, but the lack of anything new in the series for so long, suggests K&C do not think so. Cheers, Robin.

Hello:
Aside from the Figarti P-38 "Marge" set of USAAF Major Bong (which I got to honor the World War Two hero from Wisconsin) I have to say I only look to King & Country for WW2 period of history sets.
"Iron Brigade"

In depth it would have to go to K&C for the diversity that they cover. detail, accuracy best, worst etc is down to the individual and should not be forced upon another person. mine is clearly better than yours that we hear so often from the few is a subjective evaluation based on nothing more than a individual perception.

What I would say is that the best WWII line in terms of AFV's would IMO still go to HB. I have AFV's from all the main manufacturers and, HB still, cannot be beaten. figures were a different thing but, I would go as far to say they are sublime. I would not have anything else in my collection had they continued production

Hi Mitch ,
I'm a bit confused by your post ....if detail and accuracy are as you say " down to the individual and should not be forced upon another person " and should be taken as " subjective evaluation based on nothing more than a individual perception ".
Could I ask what criteria you used to come up with " the best WWII line in terms of AFV's would IMO still go to HB " or "I would go as far to say they are sublime " or " I would not have anything else in my collection had they continued production " its not that I disagree with your high opinion of the fine HB AFV's of the past but would like to know how you came to it if not based on detail and accuracy .. and how when you say such things ...they are not to be considered the " mine is clearly better than yours that we hear so often " Cheers Gebhard

Forgot the very important price/value catagory. -- Al

To avoid problems, what criteria is to be used to determine the 'best'? Sculpts? Paint? Variety? Matte vs Glossy? Available AFV's or aircraft? Scale? Just asking. -- Al

Great questions Al .. I don't know how anyone could come up with an answer to this question without more details . Clearly if a collector likes a certain AFV or Aircraft or figures from a certain Battle that will be the best for them . Cheers Gebhard

I am going with the line being Battle of the Bulge! Some people like the Desert, too hot for me. Others seem to like Ze Eastern Front (said in best Gen'l Burkehalder voice)OK for them, Me I like the snow so anything that fits is good. I should say I like modeling the snow. Don't like being in it much. My Dad was in the 101st though in the late 50's. So best is left to be decided as what means the most for the individual.{sm4}{sm4}{sm4}
