Hi my Collector friends!

I have in the last weeks experienced some attempts by sellers on eBay to try and sell some works they
claim to be by Olga Zernina.
All of these sellers have come from China, have no items sold before, and operate with an imaginary price. Unfortunately somebody has bought some of these, ( I am sure none of you ) but I am not happy to see these showing up again this week, although eBay has been informed.

Best wishes Mattis

PS, Who would not wish to buy Olga’s work at this price!

There have been numerous of these auctions from China by sellers with no feedback offering items by different companies. They should be avoided at all costs.

I and others have been reporting these to ebay as fraudulent as soon as we see them, yet the same listings keep reappearing. Thank you Mattis for informing the forum about this. A figure I actually purchased legitimately on ebay keeps showing up on a fraudulent Chinese ebay listing over and over again. Ebay takes the listing down when this is pointed out to them yet doesn't seem to have a mechanism in place to keep it from being relisted. The person or people who are dong this harvest images from closed auctions from legit sellers, and then claim to possess the same item. Ebay is doing very little to police this illicit activity. Be very careful folks!

The original Samourai girl ( painted by Olga ) have been sold by Olga on ebay
https://www.ebay.fr/sch/zernina/m.h...OI&LH_Complete=1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2046732.m1684

she sold them ( them : because Olga paint many time the same piece wih different paterns ) 3 pieces sold during the last 3 months between 290 US$ to 600US$

More : the Chinese price is lower than the unpainted Kits

So any' amateur, who buy there know perfectly well that he is buying a fake

Hello

I think what the original poster, Mattis, is saying is that the listings are completely fake ie it is not that you will get a cheap fake but nothing at all for your money.

Cheers

Stephen

I first noticed this scam with some Figarti and Trophy pieces. Beware of anyone selling something desirable at ridiculously low prices by someone with no or little feedback. If it’s too good to be true, it usually is.

There are also some who post fraudulent pics. I know bc the figure was custom painted for me and is in my cabinet!!!

Whilst I don't buy or collect this sort of figure - I think that some common sense sayings might be most appropriate here.

As my old Welsh Grannie used to say " If something seems too good to be true - It usually is!"

When you see on offer - figures which would normally retail at some hundreds of dollars/pounds/euros ( delete those currencies not applicable), at peanuts money - then warning bells ought to sound!

Another one she used to say was; " A fool and his money are soon parted"

So......don't be a mug - and leave these "bargain offers" well alone. jb

Not just russian figures any figures, they copy authentic sellers items, and they create new accounts each time , all from China, so buy nothing from a china seller especially new with ) feedback
