Cool looking diorama Duke. I do have this set, but packed away atm as I have limited display space these days. Yes fellow TF members, I do have some Non German sets, for example I have about Ten US sets, fav would be the Patrol Jeep, or maybe the BIG Wrecker truck, I like them all really...like I say to my kids...you can't have favourites :wink2:

GUNS and Gunners .... just what I love to see :)

John

Thanks John, I know the big guns are your thing. :)

Another fine looking dio Duke.

Tom

Thank you Tom. Hope all is well down under.

Thanks, this is one of those older K&C sets with several figures that can make for an instant scene all by itself.

And once again Duke another simple, tasteful, realistic dio in the WWII range.

As a kid I spent a lot of time with WWII. Either playing at it with great realistic toy weapons by Matel. Or with it with plastic Revell and Monoghram models I made. Coming back to it late in life to metal soldiers I decided not to go WWii, but something different. So I decided to go NAPS because I never played at or with NAPS. I have no intention of going deep into the WWII range, but I do have bits and pieces. But modelers like you and others on this forum who have presented WWII with such precision certainly tug at my 50s childhood and how much I immersed myself in it. Bravo.

Thanks Joe. Good to hear your story of your childhood toy soliders. I started off my collecting early with the Marx playsets like Battleground and Navarone. Loved my plastic army men and had many battles with them. Then I started building models, mostly WWII like Monogram, Revell, Tamiya, etc.

Then I guess took a break during college and afterwards but then later in life found metals (and started building/painting plastic models again). Have stayed mostly in WWII, but do have several other collections as well such as WWI, NAPS, and more.

top to bottom...
left to right...
there are no flaws in this pic...
great job!

Thanks Mike

When they fire ... I do not give a lot for the barn next to it .
My father was a gunner in the Belgian army in WW2 ( heavy guns 120mm) His battery was camouflaged in a field next to a Flemish farmhouse equiped with an outside toilet ( very common for the 1940's in the Flemish countryside)
The farmer was very unlucky; he went to the toilet the moment the first gun opened fire and fired its first shell. The toilet collapsed and the rest is up to your imagination ;

Wayne
