I have never really been a "steady" buyer of figures. I'm more of a "binge" buyer when the mood presents itself. I just picked-up many retiring Britains sets (Napoleonic, Rev War and ACW). I also, finally picked-up the retired Troiani sets First Manassas (Part 1 and 2) by Conte. It's really a great set! Jeb Stewart is outstanding! Finally, dipped my toe into K&C's Scot's Greys and anxious to complete this grouping in the coming months.
What of everyone else... "Binge" or "Steady" or both?!!! :)

Both for me.Three times a year at the London shows i have an unashamed, gloriously indulgent binge and i love every second of it!.And then throughout the rest of the year i have a steady but more modest amount of purchases.

I try and stick too binge drinking ,which is closely followed by binge buying.
I,ve tried moderation but it has failed miserably ;).

Binge for me. Something catches my eye, and I am off and running. If nothing catches my eye, I can sit it out for a while and wait (very nervously of course).

Let's all repeat the oath again:

"I swear that I will never, ever, bid on eBay again!"

OK, now how many times is it that we've sworn that one? ;)

Prost, beianand!

Shows, birthdays, holidays those are the times to buy, buy, buy. Otherwise a set here and there to keep up with whatever line you are collecting.

Luckily, I'm quite disciplined and only binge during months with a vowel in them.

Doesn't work for me,every month i vow not to buy anymore and i still do!.;)

Uhm, what qualifies as a binge? Five sets at once, 5 different lines at once, $500.00 at once, all the above? Not that it matters if your're guilty as charged on all counts anyway:D.

I go to four shows a year and that's where I do most of my buying, so I'd guess it's binge for me.

I buy what strikes my eye, certainly made me a binge buyer of the Conte Spartans, likely same for the plastic ones.

I like STEADY because I like figure sets and they are no more than $70 each set. However I will binge if there is an expensive set I really want.
