I don't think this has been mentioned but Rick also unveiled an anti aircraft gun from the Bismarck with a crew of five. Very neat. I believe this could be a great theme: deck guns from various ships of various navies. Someone suggested this to Rick and I hope he and his team give it some serious thought.

I don't know if Carlos took any pictures but if not I will try to scan one of the Figarti brochures I received at the lunch.

Brad is absolutely right that the Bismark deck AA gun was a great piece, extremely well executed, and should sell like hotcakes. Another A+ for the Figarti team.

Curious, when I was watching the K&C UK Tv film on the Figarti Lunch (Thanks Bob N.!), Rick indicated a reason he could not do the Bismarck itself, I couldn't hear the reason. Is it just simply b/c of size etc?

Thanks
Tom

In 1:30 scale the Bismark would be approximately 35 feet long, so I suspect it's the size . . . although I did offer the pond adjacent to my driveway if they wanted to release it at the Symposium next March.

Wow, that's what I thought, Thanks Louis. 35 feet, well, in good old Suburbia Maryland, I could demolish the neighbors house and recreate the epic battle with the Hood in the crater that would remain. Sounds like a helluva idea to me. (would get rid of the pesky neighbor also).
