Hi Guys,

A few “bouquets” for some great work… and ideas!

1. “Scratch- built M6 Bomb Carrier”
I love Noli-poli’s work and this is no exception! I also like the step-by-step pix which show how a lot of ingenuity and a dash of creativity (plus a ton of skill) makes for a truly original vehicle…
Well done N-P.

2. “BOB Tommies”
Good interesting idea guys… but I’d like to do more regular “Toms” to go with D.Day... Market Garden… and such. But, don’t fret… all in good time.

3. “Urgent Communiqué”
Great job Robin… I think you’ll be adding a “bell-tent” (or two) after you see the next “DISPATCHES”…

4. Flak41 (Desert Conversion)
John’s (Obee) work is superlative as usual and Wayne is a very lucky boy! This is proof (if any were needed) that John is not just a pretty face!

5. “Sons of the Empire”
Chris (McKenna) hurry up and finish that dio… I love the buildings and those Sikhs don’t look too shabby…

In conclusion… one of the many things I enjoy about this particular forum is the wealth of ideas and suggestions that came from collectors… I may not always be able to agree with all of them but I appreciate the thoughts behind them. Likewise the creativity that goes into designing and building dioramas. As I’ve said and written many times... “A few soldiers look good… add a fighting vehicle or two, and it looks better… Put them all with a building or structure on a little landscape base and…. Pure magic is often the result!”

Keep up the great work guys and… adios for now!

Thanks for posting Andy, great to hear you are considering more Brits for Arnhem and D Day. Do you think we ought to tell Ron that Market garden is not being retired as a range?:wink2:All the best

Rob

Thanks Andy for your kind comments. I am always inspired on the quality of every KC pieces and try to keep my scratch-built models at par and worthy to be displayed with KC pieces.

I am a lucky MAN ^&grin Andy,great post,hope it inspires you for MORE AK....................:wink2::wink2:

Just thought I'd post this again...don't know why??!^&grin^&grin

Can't wait, the last wave of Brits for D Day along with their landing craft was just spot on. I see the Cromwell Tank is being retired, I wonder if Andy is making room in his Tank Car park for a replacement??:wink2::wink2:

And more for Arnhem, I mind not a jot if there is quite a while between releases as the Arnhem range is much like a sublime Pasta dinner I once had on the Queen Mary 2, too good to rush!:wink2:

Hey Andy, I hope you saw WarBuff 26's Patton and Eisenhower dioramas posted a couple days ago. I thought it was one of the better dioramas in recent months. His lineup of KC tanks is quite a testimony of KC's production of allied afv over the years.

Andy,

thanks for your kind comments about my work on the FLAK 41, I really appreciate that, espcailly seeing that I try to attain your standards of finish.

And YES, Wayne is a lucky boy, like another couple of Aussie collectors (Howard & Tom) who also have some AK repaints in thier collection now.

Kind regards,

John

Dear Andy:

I agree very much with your comments about making up dioramas, big or small, as that really adds a lot to the viewing pleasure of the figures, etc shown on a display table or shelve of one kind or other. I for one would never had purchased even 10% of of what I have gotten these past nearly 20 years if it would not have been for my being able to have the space to display assorted scenes with background sheets, scale trees, grass, dirt, buildings, etc.

Yes I second that. K&C figures /Aircraft/ AFVs always look good on display shelves, but put them on a well made dio and there is no comparison. With your own groundwork and some scenic detail along with the K&C items and you breath life into a scene that brings the best out in the models, it's also very rewarding indeed. Speaking as a WW2 collector, only K&C offer such a wide range of models that this allows you to really use your imagination across many theaters of combat . It's a fascinating and very enjoyable side to this hobby, and if I can just get my decorating jobs over and done I can get on with my next project! (don't tell my darling wife I said that though!:wink2:^&grin)

This is a good example of what I'm talking about, superb scene ;
