Has anyone ever heard of kits made by Black Cat? I found it on Ebay and went on the website. They look pretty good i thought.

Yep his call sign is Fubar on the forums. AKA Harold in real life. I haven't bought any of his kits yet but did buy some Conte sets from him a few years ago. Good guy to do business with.

Back when Treefrog carried kits we had them too - very well done, in our opinion.

Are they tough to put together? How many pieces and such?

Easy to put together with medium thick superglue. Each figure is made up of a full body and head and usually one arm.Hats , packs cartridge boxes all cast and fit into body with peg and hole as do arms. Most right arms are cast with musket.
Some of the loading and marching figures require gluing both arms on.
So, you are looking at a maximum 6 parts, some as few as 3.

You can take x 2 of the same figure, put one of 4 different style packs and something like 12 different hats to make variations throughout the line.Rebals lend themselves to more possibilities . I supply the figs with a random mix of slouch hats packs , cartridge boxes for Confederates.I've painted 300 + Rebz. It's addictive.

There's more on the drawing board and some 1/2 done new figures gathering dust on my workbench but I have been on a painting streak .Have to go with it while it lasts!
