I've raised this question before, but how about some figures and vehicles from black hawk down?:D
Never mind movie rights, just what do you think about the ideas of figures?:D

Maybe some Delta force boys running out with a captured somalian prisoner, or maybe some Task force Rangers in sets of four on the ground with raised M16s or SAW gun?:D:cool:

Maybe a couple of stretcher bearers carrying 'Blackburn'?:D

Humvees!:DWith men manning the 50. Cal guns?:D

Maybe a little Bird helicopter?:D

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes and yes again.
Definate sale for me. :)
We can live in hope.......:(

That would be really cool. Not something that I would necessarily buy, but I do like the idea.

I asked Mr K&C when he was in Los Gatos about black hawk down he said it would be fun EXCEPT what would you need to make a black hawk down scene (a black hawk helo) and that would be to big for them to make.

Sorry folks I would of like to see that too

Yeah like the concept......a humvee sounds cool, with a big bastard 50 cal on top.:p Maybe something for the future.....???

Scott, love the idea! Perhaps Andy could just make a part of a shot down Blackhawk and then just make little birds?!??! And the series would greatly compliment the new desert village. Besides humvees how 'bout some Somali militia vehicles, trucks mounted with .50 cals?

Regards,

Vick

This also came up during Andy's visit to Australia. The helo size was an issue.
As a dealer I would like to see such items. The movie was very good and would help sales.

A great idea. Rights shouldn't be an issue, while you might not be able to use the name b/c of the movie and the book, you can't copyright and actual historical event.

I understand the size issue, but I'd be content with just a small diorama piece of the wreckage (just the cockpit?).

But I think I have an idea you might like even better, Arnhem44Mad. There's a book out right now called 3 Para, which I highly recommend, about British Paratroopers (the same unit that fought in your beloved Arnhem campaign) in Helmand, Afghanistan. A very gripping account of small unit action in the "forgotten war".

Quite a bit of scenes that would be great in miniature. It would also carry on the tradition of a storied regiment as K&C has done with Blackwatch, Coldstream etc.

Whether or not it was Blackhawk down or not, nothing would thrill me more than more K&C modern figures. The Special Forces line was exceptional.

A Thought!:D

Andy wouldn't have to make a full black hawk!

He could make a WARBIRD version of it and see what collectors think!?:)

Delta Force Operatives and Task Force Rangers would be a must have but!:D
