Blue and yellow fuel truck (1 Viewer)

Just got the blue and yellow bowser a few minutes ago. While fuel trucks don't hold quite the excitement of a tank, this one is darned close. It is very detailed, well-painted, and one top-notch creation. I hope to get a few photos of my own up for viewing once I can put it with my other RAF pieces. I am moving things around as RAF and Egypt are now out of space. Personally, I think the RAF line was one of the best things to come along in a long time in the toy soldier realm, and this fuel truck makes for a colorful and very welcomed edition. It was not cheap, but it is a special piece and will be a real attention getter in my airfield (although when I showed it to my wife online last night - she said I hope that's not what you are getting!)

Great work K&C!!
Good post and agree the fuel truck is nice but over priced, truth is you would never see one painted blue and yellow on a RAF base in WW2 I'm sorry to say

Congratulations on your latest purchase. Looks superb to me and can't wait to add it to my RAF base too. I have to wait for mine as I've decided to get the Typhoon first, but hopefully it will be joining my collection soon. I do agree the RAF range is one of the very best K&C produce, some excellent releases throughout.

Bowser looks great from everyone's pics, can't wait to get mine, should be any day now! {sm2} Even if it wasn't on an RAF airfield during WWII it is still so eye catching because it is so unique and colourful. Truly an iconic piece....despite being a fuel truck. As it is such a rare piece it is priced accordingly and I had to have it so I splurged (its my most expensive purchase) and I'll say no more. ^&cool

Hey CFM,

Yes I fully agree, this is a rare release and very welcome indeed. I think the Ambulance, Tilly and Bowser will look really good together, plus of course the new truck and anything else that may come in the future:wink2:

I'll use the Blue one with my Spit/Hurricane and the Mickey mouse for the Typhoon, can't wait to get my hands on all of these releases, one at a time I guess but it'll be well worth it.^&cool

Well said. I too have been asking for this baby and now it's here I'm very happy to stump up the cash. Thing is it's probably going to be the only Typhoon I'll ever need in my collection , it's a one off , and will have a very special place in my collection. Now I just have to find room and build a scene for it! :smile2:

That's what's so addictive about collecting K&C isn't it, there is just something about their own particular style that makes it so collectible. I've lost count of the times they've released something and I've thought no I'll let that pass and concentrate on something else, and before I know it I'm carrying it home from London!:wink2:

I also always find that however good the item looks online it's even better up close

Well I'm thinking of getting the blue & yellow one & doing farnborough 1947 air show when they had all the Luftwaffe captured planes on display & using K&C Me 262 , Rammjäger , Komet ,Fw 190 & Figarti V2, He 219 with RAF crew getting them ready ^&cool

Little test see if you can name all the planes with there correct mark ?

Interesting idea Neil, thats something very different. My eyes are not what they were, but do I spy a Condor,Hurricane and possibly a JU52?.

Rob

Sorry Neil, as I say the old peepers are not too good, whats the plane bottom right then?. Museum looks good indeed, would be worth a visit.
