Members of this forum might be interested in the series of figures produced by the British Model Soldier Society. They can be seen at www.model.soldiers.btinternet.co.uk The range covers both foot and mounted figures which are only available in kit form, painted is not an option. The bulk of the range covers the British and Indian armies, but the latest releases depict General Custer and his wife Libby as they rode out together at the start of Custer's last illfated campaign. Prices are very reasonable, £6.50 for a foot figure and £17.50 for mounted with a substancial discount for members of the society. Well worth a look.

Trooper,
I have looked at their figures for years with envy, they are beautiful. Now if I only had some skill with painting anything smaller than a house......................

Very well worth a look indeed! Who sculpted these? :D:D

Very nice indeed I like the set with the King & Queen. Wonder what they would look like in gloss  :D

Ouch! I feel your pain! I've often wished for certain additional TRADITION figures for my gloss set up but never purchased the unpainted kits because of my artistically challenged hands:(.

I thought it was mentioned elsewhere that BMSS are no longer offering figures?

That is my understanding. I was informed about this about two years ago and I offered to buy the masters and moulds from them. I spoke to the President, Mike Creese, who said it would have to be referred to the Commitee. After some nine months I spoke to him again and was told no decision had yet been agreed. Since then nada. To the best of my knowledge they have not re-ordered any castings and can only assume that they are just selling off remaining stock. A pity as there is still a potential market for them. Trooper

Yesterday, I sent an email to BMSS to ask about the availability of castings.

I received a prompt reply from BMSS support services with a list of castings available.

If anyone is interested in the list, please send me a PM with your email address.
