Well,
One of the great ones is hanging it up. The ole riverboat gambler will surely be missed in my household, I have enjoyed him at FSU for nearly my whole life, I am 36, he has coached 34 seasons. WOW. Makes me feel old now too! Anyhow, hats off to one of College Footballs greatest gentlemen, I sure hope his team can get him a win in the bowl game, however with this year's defense, that might be a tall order!

Go Noles.

On another note, my other alma mater has kept Ralph Friedgen. No Comment.

"Nearly age 83, Paterno is in his 60th season on the Penn State coaching staff in 2009, holding the record for most seasons for any football coach at any university. The 2009 season is Paterno’s 44th as head coach of the Nittany Lions, passing Amos Alonzo Stagg for the most years as head coach at a single institution"....from Wikipedia.

Now this is the one that's going to be sad...and it should really make you feel old....hahahaha.

Kudos to Bowden...he was a class act, both admired and envied by many young coaches...he played a large role in a lot of young men's carreers.
