I know the pole is not over but .......I for one would like to see a new series of the Boer war ......it seems the major manufacturer's have left this one out .....so I hope John looks at starting this set .....I have always had an interest in British history good or bad ......so to me this would be a set I would like to see ...anyone else ..:D:D

The poll results on that one are a real shocker to me. I don't pretend to be an expert on the Boer War but not sure how well it translates into a great toy soldier line in terms of uniforms or battles. A Churchill figure from that era would be interesting though.

The uniforms are usually khaki for the Brits and civilian clothes for the Boers.I think the only uniformed Boers was the Transvaal Artillery.Very interesting war though.

Early on there were some uniformed volunteer units. Military Illustrated published an interesting series a few years back.

I think that the main reasonis that most collectors are not interested the the Boer War because the uniforms for the most part are rather drab looking.

The history behind the conflict I think is very interesting and it is my favorite colonial war to collect.

The 1st Boer War had more colorful uniform variations than the 2nd war. The British still had red jackets and I think they still carried their flags into battle. Could be an interesting and obscur choice for JJD. -- Al
