An hour or two of play, a couple cold ones later, This is what he came up with.
Still several Regiments for both sides and most of the artillery in the display cabinets.
He used some of the IRON Brigade troops as Westerners, and theres an Irish Brigade Regimental color in there too_Oh well. It was fun!

I bet it was fun! :D How many do you have if some are still in the cabinet?

Awesome stuff.

Jeff

Theres at least 20 x 40 figure units of infantry metal and lots of plastics too. All Britians and Conte, some kit figs .
Artillery, theres a 6 gun battry and crews for both sides, plus some Officers, mounted and foot, excess flagbearers ect.

Still have some converted plastics sitting primered up and thus far unpainted.

FUB.

Fubar king Harold them pics could be your best yet simply outstanding i hope to someday even have half the figures you got there...and whats scary is how many will you have in 10 years from now.
I still remember your older pics on the CTS site so your collection sure has grown.
How many Conte Blister cards would you have gone thru ???
Thanks for posting all them pics plus the story :D

Fubar, great pictures and a great diorama. I love looking at the larger set ups for ACW to just grasp the scope of what went on. My goal is to try to field a single regiment as well as a full battery from each side but that will take some time for me. I am trying to keep it all metal from Conte and WB or simialr styel figures. I was also at the Gettysburg 125th with the in the 8th Ohio with the National Regiment. It was an awesome experience.

Again, great job.

I don't know for sure how many conte plastic blisters I went through.A fair number as i kept pirating parts for conversions.Painted and sold off quite a few as well.Still have TOO many to field on the table , or at least have some friends over to manage it and watch them have fun setting out hordes of figures.
I still buy the Britains singles.Good deals found on ebay here and there. The Rebs I repaint to a certain degree.
My reenacting days are behind me but I am thinking of heading East this Spring to tour Battlefields.
The 125th Gettysburg and Wilderness Campaigns were simply unbelievable.
I understand from some of my younger friends that the 135th reenactments were as well, even more troops.Heat exaustion felled a couple of them as well. I guess the mild climate we're from doesnt prepare you for that humidity.

I love the massiveness, I always wanted to do something like this, but I don't have that many of one kind of theme. Looks great ! ! ! Alex

Still bored, Raining buckets here.
ACW figures from Britians Conte, A total of about 3 sets is what i started with, about 6 years ago from a nice Guy in Wisconsin named Andy. A few here a few there, it adds up.
Thanks for all the kind words.

Fubar, no offense, but I hope it keeps raining and you keep posting. These are great. Love the regiment marching in formation brings back a lot of memories for me. I am also retired from re enacting. Started with Rev. War and the BAR in 1973 and then moved on to the National Regimant and the Civil War after Yorktown in 1981. The Civil War has always been my real passion. I retired after the 135th at Shiloh. I just did not fit the part anymore. The diorama is great. All of the figures fit very well together. If you are still bored and taking requests, try Cedar Mountain or Franklin for a change of pace. How big is your table? It must have it's own zip code.

Thx for the pictures.

Great stuff Harold now I'm a bit bored too.

Again Fubar,

Simply magnificent! You've always had great camera work and nice angles to your pictures. You're pictures seem clearer than in the past. Did you get a new camera?

Ragnar, It took me a while to find which one you were talking about. Good eyes, I forgot that Officer was in there.GOOD EYES!!!
That I believe is a MARKSMEN plastic.I had one 6 figure sets of those I painted some time ago.Nice figs, a little on the Imex accurate size of things but they fit fine in scenes like this. I dont think I have any replicants at all, even their Normans.
Yes Carlos, New /old camera I bought over a year ago.Decided to use it for once.
