Bored Tonight...Post a Diorama, LOL (1 Viewer)

If you weren't in England, I would ask you to do the photos for the book Kevin. You are far and away the best photogtrapher of toy soldiers I have ever seen.

Why not include some of Kevin's dios in the book? Also, Kevin has some of the sets and since Larry and Hans are still working on their parts, maybe if Kevin comes over for the Symposium in 08 he could come a couple of days early and shoot photos for the book.

If Hans and Larry haven't got off their butts and done the photography and formatting by the Chicago Show this year, I'm going to be begging Kevin to come do the photos! I did my job and wrote the entire text (with some help from Larry on the chapters on matt and glossy non-WWII). I want to see this get to K&C publishing before my son is old enough to read it!

Louis

I have many of the more recent sets so could send some if you specify. I could also have a look at what I took at your place, I haven't really processed them.

Failing that, When should I come?

BTW - if anyone would let me loose photographing Napoleonics - and all the rest - I would change my name to Porky and live in S**t

Kevin

PS took about 500 today, HB stuff! Here is a mixture of old and new.

Terrific job on the next to last photo with the sky showing the trees.

Thanks Brad - took it about 45 minutes ago. I love these Barkmann's - they love the camera, they will be asking for wardrobe and makeup next - LOL

Panda,

Maybe I will e-mail you the chapters of the book, and you can do photographs of what you have. Heck, I'll fly you in to photograph my collection too. Maybe we can dump the whole thing in Hans & Larry's lap ready to be formatted. You will, of course, be added as one of the four (rather than three) gentlemen responsible for the book. What do you think?

Do we get to shoot them all?

What great photos - you are a real pro with the camera!

Remember - tell Louis you want payment in the form of Wooden Warbirds only or NO DEAL :D

Hope I get an honorable mention for suggesting the idea :p;):D:)

I think you need U.S. representation in your negotiations with Louis. Willing to serve at no cost. We'll beard the lion in his den!;)

Willing to act as a back-up camera man........The Lt.

What the heck, the more the merrier. Why don't we make arrangements to get together at the museum, either all together, or individually, and take some shots of pretty much everything. We need to figure out how we are going to approach the photography (whether to do individual shots of each set, diorama shots with several sets from a series, shots of only select sets, or shots of only the older stuff people wouldn't be familiar with?), perhaps with imput from Andy. Maybe we can, acting as a committee, select the photos we like best, and simply credit each photographer for the photos we select? Lets get moving on this.

I also need somebody to format all this stuff on a computer once we are done. Those of you who are interested in photography or formatting, PM me.
