Brad used this wonderful word "brouhaha" a few months ago. There was some comment at the time. I had never heard this term but I must admit to immediatley liking it. I have read the exact expression on the BBC's international news website. The headline is "Miss France keeps title despite brouhaha over pictures" Thanks Brad for introducing me to this great new word. If I doubted you then please accept my apolgies but your word has now been endorsed by the BBC.
Regards
Damian

I should hope so - he is at least an 'honorary Brit' :D poor b@$&@£d:eek:;)

Brouhaha is similar to the other wonderful Brit word "kerfuffle" made famous by Lou in his conversations with Andy. Of course that's Lou and Andy from the Little Britain comedy series and not Louis the K & C collector or Andy the K & C company owner we all know and love.

Andy and I have had a few "kerfuffle's" over the years, although, thankfully, none that rose to the level of a brouhaha!

Leave it to a lawyer to able to use both words in the same sentence :D

Kevin, I am indeed honored to be considered an honorary Brit. I don't know why but it brings me back to 4th grade when I was administered corporal punishment (ruler thwacked against me buttocks) by the Headmistress for repeated poor penmanship. Unfortunately, it didn't help as my handwriting is still poor.

Damian, no apologies needed, you weren't the first and I'm sure you won't be the last! :D
