The painting on the Cossack is exceptional, in particular the face. Also like that the horse is on the smaller size. Very realistic for those units. Your collecting taste is truly eclectic.

The background on my purchasing these is that shortly after Russia invaded Ukraine, Attica sent out a letter to its customers saying that they did not agree with the War and notwithstanding the war they would continue to work with Ukrainian artists; Ivan Novik, the owner, is part Ukrainian.

Since things looked uncertain I offered to try to help them out as best as I could and in consultation with Ivan, chose these two figures. As a postscript he was eventually forced to leave Russia and now operates out of Armenia.
