2016....Today we worked on this years college dioramas in preparation for the annual K&C dinner.

We winterised the trench dio with a predominately French theme......some pics ( not the best with my phone sorry)

Alooooooooooooooooooooot of stands to hide other wise its just a display ^&grin^&grin

Na seriously looking good fellas will have to get over 1 day when you do a WW2 theme predominantly German {eek3}^&grin .

Thanks for the pic's Wayne, the dio's are looking great as per usual. I like the snow covering on the WW1 battlefield dio. I bet it took a while to get the look right and I hope you don't get a gust a wind in that room! {eek3}

As part of this years dinner we will be holding a diorama competition, the criteria being that each dio be a basic A4 x A4 size. Bob put together a few as examples................

Ray and Dave brought a couple of their A4 dios in for a photo shoot...................

All though not part of the competition Ray also brought in his outstanding scratch built U-Boat....a masterpiece.

Yes, that U-Boat is a cracker, Ray did an awesome job on her. I reckon he would do a good job on a Brit Submarine as well, maybe you could convince him to build one for next year and do a Tobruk Harbour scene with it docked.

Great diorama, must of been a lot of evenings spent getting it finished. :salute::

We don't have any large toy soldier shows like you gents overseas, so the highlight of our year is the annual visit of Andy from King and Country. To coincide with his visit, a night with dinner is provided. The event is well attended and we enjoy the discussions with Andy and catching up with other collectors. The other feature of the event is the presentation of dioramas our talented team have been working on all year. Something different that is happening this time is a diorama competion for collectors attending the night. I will be contributing to this and i think it's a good opportunity to showcase the skills we might have. I would like to thank Brett and Andy and Martin and his team for the night and keeping our interest in this great hobby. Regards Greg.
