A couple of possible future projects for the Brisbane crew......maybe.
Bob and my good self picked up a pair wonderful Naked Army 1/6 figure kits at the 'Ye Old Toy Shop' this morning which may become a joint effort amongst the team (well between Bob and I at least) First one a A.I.F Digger Bardia 1941....

Will take a bit of work painting it but will give it a go.....Next.

Then there is this R.A.A.F Pilot Darwin 1943........

A challenge no doubt but I'm sure Bob will overcome and adapt.

Another project will be to enhance JJD Mephisto to how it looked when first captured by the A.I.F in the Great War.........

I wonder what role I will play!

Airfix 1/24 Spitfire would look great in the background 😎. I'm just about to get into Revell 1/32 Beaufighter as Whispering Death so will need the RAAF decals...should look good on a Moresby dio...not quite Dambusters but something different to complement the current Pacific War releases. Could use some tips from your Dad...?

I'm sure the new figures and Mephisto will look great when you and Bob have worked your magic mate.

Awhile back, Martin had posted some pictures of the Mephisto tank and I made a comment about somebody painting a guy with a surfboard on the front. Martin must have been thinking, what is wrong with that Hawaiian? I now realize that was on the actual tank (not a surfer). LOL.

That sounds really creepy!

It is in the sense of how much you would have to do, but don't worry, I wouldn't have you making me cups of coffee all day!! ^&grin

I've got a quick question for any of you gentlemen that are involved in setting up the "Brisbane projects..."

Is there a standard platform height for a free-standing, museum exhibit? Inquiring minds want to know, and y'all are the experts!:wink2:

Ah...no, but if there is we didn't follow it :wink2: Jack may have some sort of answer to your question being he is the curator.

And here I was thinking that Martin was the refreshments-chairman.:wink2:

Definitely the keeper of standards...lest we forget THAT shirt...and of course the velvet jacket...but not at Thiepval monument, which proves he is discerning...truly a leader :salute:: 😎

To-day the Blokes came over and we had a workshop and general sit around and talked s..t about all things TS, Bob has completed the 1/6 scale R.A.A.F Pilot - Darwin 1942 from Naked Army and a superb job of figure painting it is......some pics.

Bob also made great strides in painting the A.I.F Infantry Sergeant Bardia 1941 also a 1/6 Scale Naked Army figure, still much painting to go before it's done but already it's looking the Bee's Knee's.
