Brit Coming to Chicago For His FIRST Time (1 Viewer)

Hi Folks,

I will be visiting and attending the show for the first time in September and I was wondering, can anyone help me with local knowledge and / or guide this poor lost soul please? {sm2} (I have posted elsewhere but only had 1 response).

I land on Tuesday 22nd and stay in the city, close to the bean. Plan on having a pizza and taking a stroll and visiting a blues bar before getting an early night (or early morning UK time {sm4})

Weds I am planning on going to the House of Blues but, other than that (and buying some Levi's) I have not got a clue....

Thursday through to Monday I am in Schaumburg so again, any tips, hints etc would be really gratefully received.

I will be on the Treefrog Stand on the Sunday and around for the other days too in support of Empire & Treefrog but other than that.......

Hope someone takes pity on this lamb lol Any local info though chaps would be really cool. Many thanks. Looking forward to meeting new folks and making new friends.

I work in Chicago about 6 blocks from the "Bean." I can probably help you out a bit.. If you want to PM me with any particular questions, etc.. please feel free.. Also, I can help you out with question regarding Schaumburg as well.

Not sure I can help you with a Blues bar, but I can suggest a couple of good Chicago style pizza places... etc.

On the military side you might consider visiting.

Cantigny Park in Wheaton Illinois is home to the 1st Division Museum and a wonderful tank park.
