Britain At War 1939-1945 (1 Viewer)

I have noticed that KC France looks like is going to close, a sign of the times...KC is more and more concentrating on the anglo saxon collectioners ( british, american, australian, canadian) and making figures just for them. They are the "many" of course. No so much left for the interest of the " few" ( the rest of the world collectioners not " anglo saxon").

Never knew there was a K&C France.

I think you will find K&C has done a lot of French related figures (ie. Napoleonic French has many, Medieval series had French King and followers, WW1 French Marching and Fighting and WW2 early war, De Gaul and Leclerc, Resistance and armoured vehicles etc) and more WW2 Italians than any other brand.

Have to disagree with your comment only making figures for the many.

Brett,

There is a Toy Soldiers France and this is what Poppo is referring to. I had posted in the General Toy Soldier section that I had received a notice from them indicating that they were liquidating their inventory and were offering 50% discounts on certain K & C items.

It's a shame as I always enjoyed dealing with Fred and liked the three unique sets they issued.

Wow, easily my favourite brochure/leaflet K&C has ever produced! If I was to sum up the majority of my collection it would be Commonwealth at War 1939-1945. I was surprised how many of the pieces that make up these lines (DD,FOB,OMG,RAF) I've accumulated over the years. The other shocker for me was how many of the pieces I still don't have {eek3}..........a testiment to the magnitude of releases K&C have done over the years. K&C certainly have done this era justice. :salute::
I'd like to mention that K&C in my opinion market their products better than any other toy soldier manufacturer out there. Their magazines, leaflets, online website, pictures of releases, monthly dispatch etc are second to none. I know many might not think the product is as good as another however the others could definitely take a look at how K&C market their product and go to school on it. BTW I like the firetruck and firemen but would still like to see one that I could use in an RAF airfield scene.

They seem to be liquidating everything including other manufacturers, displays, store fixtures. and are not listed on the K&C site as an authorized dealer. Sounds like they are closing the business. It sounds like some items may be in-store only while stock lasts.

Proof you can't have them all :)
