Cheers O'Mighty Britains Squad:

There is a nice U.S. 155 MM Britains howitzer complete with figures & box on eBay-it is marked as a German gun but obviously it is not. It is Britains # 17247 from 2001, I believe. The eBay Item number is: 120016465100. It is really a nice piece & since I do not need another I thought I would make sure someone else gets a crack at it. Happy hunting!

Hang Tough,
Marc

Thanks, but the starting price is to high and I recommend members avoid auction houses.

LOL thanks Guys,

I didn't get it cheaply but I'm okay with that. As I have mentioned in another thread this is one of the few Britains WWII pieces I really like pre-2006.

To me, its a rather unique piece. Does anyone know how much it originally cost? I think it was around $150 but its original release was before my time.

I'm not sure of the original RRP but I did note GBP 105 mentioned on one web site. It doesn't appear on eBay very often and is therefore hard to find. However as the weapon is made from resin rather than metal this does reduce its desirablity to some collectors. Sadly this fact is rarely mentioned in eBay listings - by accident or design.

This is my 3rd Long Tom from Britains. This one goes to another collector friend of mine in exchange for more goodies for me. He knowns he's getting a resin gun and metal figures.

I like the resin design, it's lighter maybe must that list this set aren't aware of the older design made decades ago in metal. Therefore maybe it isn't so sad after all.
