Britains 2006 catalog (1 Viewer)

Napoleonics are slated for November through February 2007 releases. Meanwhile two great scenics and another bunch of sets are in the works and slated for March through July release - so will keep the Napoleonic momentum going from here on out.

Outstanding! I'll take two matte sets with a side order of glossies, please.

Hi Blackhat:

There are two new Union sets in the catalog featuring infantry in primarily Hardee hats firing line and charging - help mix up the Union a bit.

For 2007 there are a number of mounted and artillery pieces as well as more scenics planned to round out Jackson in the Valley.

All the best,

Richard

Soon I hope! I am really looking forward to the new figure and getting the catalog also!

Dave

Ya I came home from vacation today looking through 200 pieces of mail but, no catalog was found can't wait for it to arive.

Rev War figures look neat. Looks like reenforcements for my guys. Leadmen

Hi Guys:

The Standard, catalog and club figures are all being packed now - just came in from my stint on the warehouse assembly line - looking to have them in the post next week. Thanks for your patience.

Have a good weekend,

Richard

The WW1 lancers look great, i have a lot of the premier series sets and to be
honest was disapointed to see this period heading into matte finish ,
but going by the lancers and hopfully some kilted Blackwatch etc i,ll be sold.:)

Richard,

I've found images of two new Federal sets and they look excellent! I'm very pleased with the sets I've already collected from this series; keep up the great work.

Any thought to doing some sets for Shiloh -- the Hornet's Nest especially? Most of the Valley series will work for Shiloh, but a few special Shiloh sets would be great -- A.S. Johnston, Prentiss, Confederates with Western pattern flags, etc.

The Yorktown series is looking very impressive, too. I really like the Light infantry and the Highlanders.

I eagerly await the new catalog.

Blackhat

Treefrog Treasures,

When do you think you will be adding pictures and prices of the new Britains shown in the 2006 catalog to your web site's New Releases?

Blackhat:

Nice ideas about Shiloh - not well covered -not many of the western campaigns are after all. Some of the western personalities would be great. Going to give The Valley Campaign a thorough do through next year, then?...

Thanks for the good feedback.

Be good,

Richard

Hi Blackhat! I think you will see more Yankees in beat up Hardee hats and sack coats added to the line to use for your Western campaign...or if you like, mixed in with your Iron Brigade collection. (Even though they are in the East)
As you know the units in the Iron Brigade did not wear leggings very long...some even rebelled to the issue and the 24th Michigan had few if and on campaign.
I also think you can plan on some Confederate infantry in frock coats... Look for support units for both! Hope to see you at OTSN. Ken

I'm definately planning on being at the OTS show. I hope to see the new sets up close. Several sets from the Valley series and Yorktown are high on my list of "must have" items.

Rebs in frock coats would be welcome indeed. The "Lone Star" sets are still some of my favorite Britains figures.

The Yorktown series looks terrific too. Light infantry and Highlanders -- two of my favorite Rev War subjects -- together!

By the way, ONWTC's Loomis Battery is, in my opinion, the best ACW gun I've seen. Is it safe to assume that any upcoming Britains guns will be of similar detail?

Thanks

Blackhat

Our new web pages for the new Britains are awaiting two things.

1) Britains is going to send us the image files for us to put on the site. We have not received it yet.

2) We are in the process of completely re-vamping our web site. Since it will be a little while before they are released, we are waiting to include it until then so we don't have to do it all twice. We hope to have the new web site up in a few weeks. It's getting much closer.

Hi There! Thanks very much indeed. I can tell you that the small ones are much easier to move around than the real thing. I was able to work from two original guns and period shop drawings. The rest of the guns and crews from my bench will get the same attention to detail.
The Yorktown and Waterloo series are already getting new sculpts in the system beyond what you see in the current catalog. Remember that the earthworks corner and straight sections will work well for ACW forts also. You can build a corner, a side or most of a fort. See you soon! Ken

I received my Britain's collector club glossy figures and magazine with catalog today and I am very pleased. I think Britains will do well and I also received Concord Bridge set that a dealer had left for reasonable price. I don't know how I missed that release, it too is very well done. Really a good day today.I look forward to wwll and Rev War along with Britains glossy British Regts. Guess I can skip some K&C. ;) John

John, Glad your day was so much fun. Delivered toys that put a smile on your face + sunshine.Good for you.I got a slew of del prado mounted Napoleonic cavalry, lots of duplicates for making my 8 figure regiments.
The Britians figures are something to look forward to. I saw the 2 newer Union sets as well. love the ratty hard look of them and the 4 with battered Hardee hats will find their way into my ever increasing ranks of Iron Brigade. Great work Ken.Keep'em comin!
Fubar
PS
John, as for the skipping KC , well looks like we both will be in the dawghouse with the fanclub! As if we cared.

;)
