Hi Scott - Sorry about missing you off my vote of thanks - as your two glossy figures that you posted the other day, were the ones that set me off looking for something a bit better. I had a good old moan about not being able to get some of the products available in USA and Oz - and then Ken tipped me off about Tamiya-X22.

As it happened - due to my nearest model shop closing ( who didn't stock Tamiya stuff anyway) - I have had to find a new one. This one DOES stock Tamiya products - and I was able to get some X22 - and you have seen the result - which I'm delighted with!

So between you and Ken - and a fortunate twist of fate - I can get that deep shine I love so much. Hurrah!- and thanks to you both!

I suppose that's what this forum is all about though - helping others with bits and pieces of advice. So thanks to the Forum too! johnnybach

Here's two of the completed figures - new head added to loading figure, forage caps carved off both and then rebuilt as bare & bandaged heads w/ apoxy putty. Figures repainted and gloss coated. These figures should be a nice addition to my Britains ''Glossy'' Iron Brigade firing line.

Well I have to say Ken, if no-one told you that those two were re-painted conversion figures - you would never know. They look fabulous - and look at that shine - could almost be Tamiya Clear X-22 that!! What's even nicer is - they are unique. Nobody else has a pair like that.

I have an idea that someone at Britains might be looking at those - with an idea or two in their heads as well! Well done - johnnybach

Britains just released some info on the future release of matte ACW Union Zouaves. I think I better buy more Clearcoat! - Ken
