As a United States Marine, any Marine items (from any company) have always been my priority in collecting. Unfortunately, Marine Corps items just aren't in abundance. While there are exceptions, putting together a Pacific diarama (or any diarama) using Marine figures is difficult on a large scale.
I recently visited the Marine Corps museum and noticed a fairly large section of their store stocked with Marine Corps Britain's items. I also recently received the museum newsletter in which the new Britain's Marine Corps figures are highlighted.
Long story short...I really would love to see Britains take a shot at doing a range relative to WWII Marines. Yes, I know there hasn't been interest in the past..yes I know it seems that these ranges have been deemed taboo...however, I can just picture a beautifully done diarama sitting in the middle of the Marine Corps museum and I just can't imagine the figures not selling. You have the perfect audience!. Heck, they recently had a huge Marine Corps display of LEGOS even..they would certainly go for a product they already endorse.
At any rate..I just found this interesting as its not often that information relative to our hobby is sent out to a new audience like I'm seeing from the USMC museum. I thought it was great. I also enjoyed seeing some children at the museum ooh and ahhh over the Marine Corps figures.

You're preaching to the choir - check out Figarti - they have a new line of Tarawa Marines and some older sets on Iwo Jima..Every other maker refuses to make any Marines..And I refuse to give them my money..Figarti is well worth it

Are we talking about the museum at the San Diego USMC Recruit Depot?

No Al, the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico, VA....absolutely incredible place. A Disneyland for the military fan in my opinion. Actually, I can't imagine anyone not enjoying it (even my wife appreciated it). As a matter of fact, Disney was consulted on it for purposes of diarama work. If your ever even close to that area I would highly recommended it.
