As a United States Marine, any Marine items (from any company) have always been my priority in collecting. Unfortunately, Marine Corps items just aren't in abundance. While there are exceptions, putting together a Pacific diarama (or any diarama) using Marine figures is difficult on a large scale.
I recently visited the Marine Corps museum and noticed a fairly large section of their store stocked with Marine Corps Britain's items. I also recently received the museum newsletter in which the new Britain's Marine Corps figures are highlighted.
Long story short...I really would love to see Britains take a shot at doing a range relative to WWII Marines. Yes, I know there hasn't been interest in the past..yes I know it seems that these ranges have been deemed taboo...however, I can just picture a beautifully done diarama sitting in the middle of the Marine Corps museum and I just can't imagine the figures not selling. You have the perfect audience!. Heck, they recently had a huge Marine Corps display of LEGOS even..they would certainly go for a product they already endorse.
At any rate..I just found this interesting as its not often that information relative to our hobby is sent out to a new audience like I'm seeing from the USMC museum. I thought it was great. I also enjoyed seeing some children at the museum ooh and ahhh over the Marine Corps figures.
