Reminds me of going to the big downtown Department Store Toy Department at Christmastime. Lots of shiny soldiers just out of a kids reach.

Here is one of my grandsons -- all he wants is a bottle and something to throw (so my sets are off limits for a while).

Grandkids are why they make plastic toy soldiers - cheap, indestructible and hopefully too big to swallow......................P.S. that is a handsome young man , future trooper ........................

This made me think of my granddaughter who came to visit a few days before Christmas. In these photos we see her playing with plastic soldiers and Lincoln Logs. For some reason she insisted in placing them all indoors 'asleep.'
