I had a damaged farmer who had lost an arm and nearly lost his left leg at the ankle. Having just read Janet Glover's excellent biography of composer George Frederick Handel, I figured that worse things could happen to this figure and got to work. I made an 18th century coat using the foil from a wine bottle's seal, and putty for his left arm and the his head/hair. My craftsmanship is not worthy of the great music man, but it was done with genuine affection. He has joined a few other non-military conversions on my shelf, including a model of Evelyn Waugh done a few years ago using the same Britains farmer as the base. I will attach the portrait of Handel that I used as a reference to the next note.

What a wonderfull piece. Well done conversion, great realistic paint job and a spot on life-like figure potrayed as a Glossy.
Can almost hear the organ music looking at the "Master" getting most tempted to listen to his "Feuerwerksmusik" before bedtime.
There have not been many conversion in gloss around here in the forum for some time, used to be more in the past.
Love these threads and sure like to see some more of your work.
Thank you for sharing
regards
Wolfgang
