What do you Britains collectors think is/are the most iconic Britains products/lines. They certainly have a storied past.

For me, I always steer collectors to their WW1 and Knights lines. Anyone else see/of the opinion that Britains is known for other particular conflicts. Certainly a good case to be made for ceremonial and general glossies.

ANGLO ZULU WARS

Has to be by far one of the best sellers along with the ACW then Napoleonics.

I would say that the Recoats series fits the bill, as Britains started out making varied regements, and when they were reborn in the 70s, they did the same, and lastly when they were revitalized by the amazing Richard walker, they continued this tradition. But other than that, I would
go with Queen Vicky's Wars in general.

I must saying I clicked on this topic with the desperate, but alas flase hope that you were going to say that they has just came out with a series depicting flagships throught history. From ancient Roamn gallows, to Spanish tteausre ships, to the Victory, to iron clads, Spanish American war battleships, and on and on.... Why is it not so!?!?!?!!:(

Pay no attention Chris to the previous respondents to this post for they know not what they speak of :p;) It is certainly the

American Civil War

Ya mean the war o' Northern Aggression?:D I saw Colbert tonight talk about the South's "Storm of Northern Aggression" (for those not in the U.S. right now, this giant storm is hitting the South, and it originated in the North).

I think since 1st Gear have taken over the 2 standout series that seemed to have revitalised the company are the Redcoats for the glossys & the Zulu War for the matte! Britains really seem to have hit the ground running with these 2 ranges & taken the company to new heights.

Craig,

Totally agree with you on both of those. Can't wait for the new catalogue next month.

The ACW sure seems to have the most sets and the greatest variety. -- Al
