Back with another one. This is one of three I bought last Dec, two of which I gave to my grandson for Christmas. Those two were soldiers with swords and red winter capes, this one was listed as a Commander, not sure if that is correct. He was missing his articulated arm so I made one. His other arm looked like it had gloves/gauntlets and it has a bit of gold color but it may be the trim on his sleeve, I made the glove gold, I thought it looked good, not sure what it would have been. I've been looking online for a similar one with the same headgear and have not found one. Any ideas as to date of manufacture and if it is a Commander of the Kings Life Guard?

For the 42 people who have viewed this post I have found out about this figure. He is a General Staff Officer from set #201, pre-war. Originally he did not have gold gloves, that was my choice but i'm going to change it when I find out if he had gloves or not. I contacted Andy Morant of Andy Morant Vintage Toys on Portobello Rd. London for the help to identify it.

Sorry I would have let you know that it was from the set you identified but it’s been crazy busy at work so I apologize

No problem, I appreciate that you thought of me and my inquiry. I've been spending a lot of time searching eBay and such just to see if people are selling what I have and if they list what they are. I came across Andy Morant accidentally so thought I'd just email him. I can't believe how many toy soldiers he has, it's incredible!
Thanks again, Tom
