I found some pictures on a website here in the UK of new Britains figures slated for release this year. I haven’t seen them discussed on here yet though I guess the photos must have come from a new catalogue.

There are 3 sets of British infantry and 3 sets of German infantry. The standout set to me looks like the 2 piece Luftwaffe field division soldiers.
I’m not too sure about the British infantry but I’ll reserve my opinion until I see them in real life.

No vehicles or artillery amongst these releases but maybe that will come later in the year.

I've just seen the new 2007 Britains catalogue and have been looking at the neww WW II figures. I agree the German Wehrmacht and especially the Luftwaffe troops look very nice. I'm rather dissapointed with the British Army figures though. I've never seen any pictures of Bren guns being fired from the shoulder. It would require some strength to do so and it was usually fored from the prone position or from the hip supported on a sling. However, it will be intersting to see what the production models look like when they are released around June-July time, I think.

Cheers Eazy:

Could you please post the web site address so I could take a look at the new releases. Thank you in advance for your time.

Thanks Peter-I completely missed these pictures which of course were precisely what I was looking for.

I'd missed those pictures too! Thanks for posting them.

The standing soldiers pose for British Infantry Firing Set #1 is awful. Awful is not the right word. It’s laughable bowed legs & rifle held in away it would kick back over his shoulder.

I agree Chuck, and he's got his twin brother kneeling beside him, but I like their Waffen SS Pak 40 and crew.

looking forward to the new Germans. Like the Luftwaffe troops. Hope we see
more of these. The different poses are also a nice addition.Hope to see a follow-up to these figures.

Of all of the new releases the set of two Luftwaffe troops are the only ones I remotely like. Chuck's comment of the Brit Squad is absolutely correct! Perhaps, seeing the other sets live hopefully at the West Coaster will change my mind!
