Dear Richard

Hi Andrew - minus 4 here today - thinking of you in warm Malta. Thanks for the great ideas.

Hugh - no need for you to stop posting - some really good stuff! Agree about the scroling - drives me nuts too!

Did anyone mention a product locator. Type the item you are interested in and the location of a dealer near you with # of pieces and price pops up!

Richard,

Have you ever been on Beckett.com? They have a "My Collections" capability that allows one to maintain a personal list on the site indicating which sports cards (or could be Britains figures) they have with a photo and accompanying data. One just has to search for the photos/items in their comprehensive database and add to ones personal list. This can then be kept private or made public if people want to sell them. A price or Opie's rarity guide (the latter which doesn't change much) could be attached. Such a capability would be another way to get members regularly on the WBritain site.

Beckett also has a "Collectors' Tools" Section with a Beckettpedia, which is written and maintained by collectors and experts worldwide. Why not a "WBritainspedia"? Would be another way to get people on the site regularly, especially vintage collectors, who possibly could then be drawn into collecting the new figures.

Also they have Collectors' Pages which allows members to build/edit their own page on the site listing contact information and collecting interests. Would be good for dealers and collectors.

What do you think?

Hugh,

You are full of great ideas! I am not presently a member of the Britains Collectors Club, but if membership provided access to the kind of information you are suggesting, I would join the Club as rapidly as I could in order to gain access to the information that could be found on the Britains site. What a grand idea!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat
