I'm sure I'm going to rattle a few cages and ruffle a few feathers but KC is not the only game in town. Richard Walker along with Ken Osen and the staff of WBritain have been working to develop the Zulu War Line and there is no doubt in my mind that'll be a winner. I'm sure you'll all agree that to date Britain's new approach to the hobby has been a winner and will continue to be one. Along with those of you waiting to see what's in store for us it can't come quick enough but I'm sure you'll all agree it'll be well worth the wait....The Lt

I can't stand the anticipation and decided it wouldn't really matter to me if the line would be gloss or matte.

WB's quality is getting better and I love the Indian Mutiny glossy's as well as the new matte stuff. I just hope the series will be a long one providing us with, well, everything imaginable.

Anyway, the series must rock because of the serious lack of information we have been getting. Sort of a silence before the storm.

Dear Lt
I hope you are not holding out on us.
We are all on tenterhooks here

Hello All!
I suppose I should mention that although the second half of 2007 collection is finished and we are tweaking the catalog for the printer, you will not see much of the new Zulu ranges ( yes...ranges) in it. There are a great number of additions to all of the existing series so we we be printing a seperate flyer for these newest additions. You should see my bench right now...it is a really odd assortment of periods from F&I to WWII! There are almost a dozen figures finished in two different sizes and styles with many more to come. We will address these series the same way we have been developing Rev War, Napoleonics and ACW with sets, singles and scenic accessories. Although we know how hard it can be to wait, we will probably release managible groups of new sets so the retailers and customers alike will not be overwhelmed. As always we are happy to hear your suggestions...Thanks for the support and be patient!

Hi Ken,

Thanks for the update! I will be eagerly waiting to see the new figures and sets.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

I am so psyched right now I can't think of a sensible response!
Maybe tomorrow after I sleep over this.

Ken Osen mentioned here in his post that he has finished almost a dozen figures in TWO DIFFERENT SIZES AND STYLES. Thats pretty interesting, I wonder what it all means. Maybe the new French & Indian War series will be in size and style more compatible with the popular John Jenkins figures of the same period. I guess we'll be finding out pretty soon.

Forgive my ignorance but when is the Chicago show Sept or Oct

Take your time creating these ranges. The anticipation and occasional bone-throwing is fun as well.
Personally, I appreciate the approach of not overwhelming the customer making it easier to collect everything.
I am very curious about any details concerning these ranges and to see some examples of figures, you know, to get the idea.
I'm sure you will get plenty suggestions as things develop.

Hi Ken-

Very exciting news (i.e. sizes and styles)

Like Plasmapulse, I, too, appreciate the approach of not overwhelming the customer.

Can't wait for the Zulu War.

Pierre.

I just hope that what you mean is gloss and matt

Hi Again!
The Matte range will be in our 1/32nd (56mm) size and style and the Traditional Gloss will be in the same 54mm style of the Redcoats/Bluecoats series. Both of these series will be introduced at the same time, although there may be a sneek peek or two before the flyer goes to the printer...maybe even at the Chicago show.
As some of you already know we have been creating ranges with unique poses and adding on to them with each new catalog... while occasionally retiring a few sets. This will probably be the same appraoch that we use for the Rorke's Drift/Isandlwana series. This should allow folks to have time to buy what they want within reason. The paced developement will also allow us to create a number of poses that we would not be able to do if we tried to release everything in a short period of time. These are well know battles with lots of interesting and well documented events to recreate in miniature and we are sure that there will be lots of input from the collectors!
All the best, Ken Osen

Hi Ken-

Great news.

Count on me for the traditional gloss finish.

Pierre.

Looks like my imagination got the better of me in that earlier post. The new Britains are certainly doing an outstanding job in their efforts to please their collectors. Looking forward to revisiting the Zulu War with these new series.
- GO ZULUS ! - :)
