Joe,
I know you are a big "fan" of Fred Hitch and for good reason. This young man was everywhere there was a need for a "git 'er done" man, and he sure proved his salt at Rorke's Drift. He should have been given a commission to Her Majesty's Army on the spot by Chelmsford. I to reaaly admire this particular fellow, as well as Henry Hook. Thanks for the pictures an awaiting more.:)
Mike

Joe can I ask, (and excuse my ignorance) All of the figures you have given names to are they actually based on the real individual or have you just applied the names to the figures?

Thanks

Scott

Scott the names followed by their service numbers are of individuals that took part in the the defense of the Mission Station at Rorke's Drift on January 22nd and 23rd 1879. Scott an inexpensive way of getting loads of info on the subject is by refering to the RESOURCE History Section created by Randy aka Polarbear and clicking on to the Anglo Zulu War which provides load of info and sources on the Zulu War. Randy's done an outstanding job in providing the information.....The Lt.

As a matter of fact, start here before you start buying a whole bunch of books. The good books/authors will start revealing themselves to you as you read the Resources :)

Cheers Mike and also thanks to Randy for his research and posting the information on the site, and Shannon & Peter for allowing him to do so :)

Thought you'd be pleased Scott once you got a chance to review Randy's efforts and he's still plugging away at additional eras.

Did any member of the forum from across the pond attend the Annual 2008 Club Event. I know that Richard and Tony were in attendance but it would be nice to hear from some one who may also have attend until we get some feed back via TV from Tony and info from Richard. Also at the show yesterday were they any new matte Zulu War figures other than the 3 new glossy one that made an appearance or are they still under raps to us yanks:(:(......The Lt.

There is a pic of a new Zulu in UK bods pics and also in one of the snaps what appears to be a stone building, not sure if it is the hospital though ? Storehouse maybe :D

Scott here's the Zulu pic you mentioned the building is the Hospital. Gee now that we've seen the three glossy figures and this one do you think that maybe we'll get better pictures leaked before the January Catalog or photos of them taken at the History Store event :rolleyes::rolleyes:..........The Lt.

Nice looking Zulu isn't he LT, and after looking at the building it is the hospital, guess it was the angle it was photographed at or maybe it was wishing thinking on my part that it would be a storehouse :D

Joe!
There are about twelve more Matte figures that you are just going to have to wait until January to see! I think the fighting at your wall is going to ramp up a bit.
I suppose it could be worse!
Ken

Thanks Ken for the info my defenders are sure looking forward to the help over the coming months and hopefully more to follow.

Plasmapulse thought you'd appreciate the next photo featuring a WBritain figure..........The Lt.

This is a great figure! IS it available now? As your commanding officer I demand to know where I can get one!

My Lord General the Zulu Warrior will not be available until sometime in 2009 and we will not know when in 2009 until we are adviced by Sir Richard Walker or his trusted Aide De Camp Sir Ken Olsen. No demand needed Lord General your humble Aide De Camp....The Lt.
