As many K&C collectors know I ‘love’ the good old ‘25-Pounder’…No British artillery piece of WW2 was as widely used by as many British, Empire and Allied forces than the ‘25’…. Thankyou once more Duke for your creative input…
All the best and happy collecting!
Andy.

Great looking scene, an iconic Gun. When I collected Military Dinky and Corgi my fav was the Quad, Limber and 25 Lbr set. I was tempted to get the K & C Camo set but decided on the Desert version, with Aussie crew of course ^&grin

Thanks. I also have the old EA04 desert version with crew which was one of my first EA purchases.

Thanks Andy. I knew you were very fond of the 25-pounder and K&C has done a couple of nice ones over the years. I really like this piece as well as the older EA04 I have as well.

Everything blends so well, perfect setting. Robin.

Thanks for that Robin.

Me too !!!! I also had the Crescent gun that could fire 'rounds' and used in my miniature wargames as a kid against the plastic Airfix Germans .

About 10 years later I was serving as a reservist in the Royal Australian Artillery and our battery fired the last live rounds from this iconic gun
because the other regiments had all changed over to 105mm howitzers due to the Vietnam War being on.

Nice setup with this equipment, well done ,

Those firing Crescent guns were great fun as a kid, I also did the matchstick versus Airfix soldier thing. As an adult I collected Military Crescent toys, I had a boxed 5.5 inch gun and a boxed set of the Saladin Armoured car towing a 25 pounder gun with limber, a strange combination but a great toy for kids.

Here are a couple of pics from out last year we had those guns, 1973 I think ???

WOW, that's 50 years ago !!!!!!!
