Just received the new AK figures and they are in wonderful action poses.
Trying to set up a diorama and it became obvious how outnumbered my British 8th Army was. I have six different AK tanks plus one Italian and six other AK vehicles. The British and their allies (represented so far by Australians and Indians) only have two different tanks, an ambulance and two vehicles (not including the "Desert Rats").
Unless you mix in Figarti's North African Sherman and Grant tanks our K&C British 8th Army is totally outgunned! Same odds with the infantry. Rommel's forces are much better represented.
Please tell Andy we need reinforcements to make it a fair fight.:):)

NYSOLDIERS.....I agree with you it would be nice to see some
DESERT RATS dug in at TOBRUK. fighting positions
and wounded, they were a tough bunch.
MERRY XMAS to you and family.

I too would love to see more British 8th Army pieces to add to my collection, So please Andy! ;)

:) I want to see MORE Aussie's , and British Ratsand MORE Diffeent Uniformed AK Figure's and Artillery! CIAO!

Hear, hear!:D

Just started collecting K&C EA line after assiduously seeking out and obtaining all major retired AK pieces. Outnumbered AND outgunned!

Just got EA04 25lb Gun and crew, but need tank support, badly. Could not muster up a decent defense, let alone attack, with what's currently available.:( Love the new AK items, but please, let's not forget the Eighth!

Hope you're listening, Andy!

I know all the previous posters want their collections to be "pure" K&C but for crying out loud, there is another manufacturer who has gone to the trouble of maikg 1: 30 scale Lees, Grants, an Eighth Army Sherman II and the M7 in desert colors. With this stuff you not only outnumber and outgun the Jerries! Unless Andy is particularly fascinated with any of these I doubt he will be making some of them right away (but stranger things have happened!). Appreciate the cool stuff you have available.

Very true, But the other manufacturer (Mind you I Love what he makes, And will keep buying. Buying that collection. Too.But buying those pieces it is 30 dollars or more than What K&C offers) It Is not as durable as A King & Country pieces (and again, I love the Shermans. That the other manufacturer makes). I do not have To look around, If somehow some pieces fell. With A K&C product, You do not have to look around. Both are High Quality pieces, But if You like to keep rearranging your collection. The K&C pieces is the choice. And We do need more Australians.

Unfortunately, the Figartis are not as well made as they should be. It's a tired old refrain. It's one of the reasons I ultimately decided to pass on the Sherman.

I just received my Collectors magazine and I'm looking forward to those two vehicles, particularly the Bentley.

Yes, "pure" as the driven snow.

As "clear" as an azure sky of deepest summer.

Sorry for being trite.

1. Surely you're not suggesting K&C take their lead in product choice from that "other" manufacturer? Don't want to appear overbearing here, but I would think that their (the other manufacturer's) virtues should be extolled and perhaps would be better appreciated in their own sub-forum.

2. I think it wiser instead for K&C to consider the advice of those collectors who vote with their dollars for their product, rather than limit the range of what they produce based on a competitor's existing product. I won't touch on comparative quality. Others have already done so in this thread.

3. I also think it is better to lead from the front.

I'm in both camps myself.I certainly want K&C to do their own thing as its what they do best, they don't need to copy other producers. However if they make some of these North Africa AFV's in the future then I'll want those too.

Some desert rats of tobruk would be nice as there are a lot of possibilites for different poses
