The division's main job during the campaign was to block approaches by the Germans towards Utah Beach and to also capture and hold causeway exits off the beaches. They were involved in the fighting at Carentan to try to assist in the merging of the two US Beachheads, the other being Omaha, they fought almost continuously for a month before being rotated back to England.
The British airborne were in the British sector during the fighting, no where near where the 82nd was.

George is historically correct.
However if a Toy Soldier General places his Brit Paras with 82nd Airborne or Brit Paras v Romans then he is exercising his rights as a commander to deploy and display them as he wishes. He who pays for the figures gets to make up his own history !!!^&grin

I have never seen any account of 82nd and British Paras fighting together in Normandy, but this thread reminded me of a great photo of American and British airborne troops together in Southern France during Operation Dragoon. The photo is available from many sources, this is from The US Army in World War II by Mark Henry in the Osprey Series (p65). Not sure why it came out in Lilliputian scale here, but hopefully you can find it online easily or in the great Osprey book!
It wouldn't compare badly to photos of The Clash and The Ramones together 30-odd years later.
