Hi guys. I accidentally broke the barrel on my K & C Jagd PZ iv. It is a clean break. What is the best glue to use?

Thanks! :)

Instant glue is the best. I had the same problem with two of my tanks . used instant glue and the seam I camouflaged with some camo netting for the summer version or some white cloth for the winter version ( in winter both Allies and Germans sometimes wrapped some white cloth around the gun barrel of their tank as camo)

Brad,

I have an expert repairman. He's done this for me before and you couldn't tell there was any breakage. Unless you feel 100 percent confident in your abilities, he could fix it for you if you're interested.

Let me know. His rates are very reasonable. An easy break would probably be no more than $15. If you need testimonials talk to Tom Dubel (tdubel) or Marc Rezzonico (Beaufighter).

Just curious as to where you are located in PA. I am just south of Philadelphia.

Use a dab of Crazy glue, hold the parts together for 1 minute to set. A light application of flat matching camo touch up paint will help cover any seam :wink2:

Thanks Guys for all your advice. Very much appreciated. It has been quite a few years since I have done actual modeling and wanted to make sure to use the right glue.

Thanks again!

Hey Guys. Just as a follow up. I wanted to let you know. Used the super glue and looks as good as new. That stuff is strong! I was lucky it was a clean break. That is still one of my favorite's K & C made. Thanks again!

Congrats. I think gluing a broken straight piece like a canon barrel or banner pole is the most difficult repair.

Thanks Terry. I did discover rule # 1. Never put Panzer on Floor. Bad things can happen! In my case. My feet!

Super Glue bonds Polystone extremely well. Even bonds the pewter figures parts with a little patience ! Glad to hear it worked out fine !!! :wink2:

Thanks PA. And as I got even luckier yesterday when I stopped by the TS shop at Gettysburg and picked up the Tank Crew (WS 99). (5 figures for a little over 100 is nice!,) They actually look pretty good with the tank.

That is an awesome set, Especially at that price. Had me eye on it for some time now :rolleyes2:

It is a great set. I highly recommend it. Love the guy holding the wrench scratching his head.
