Thought i might try my hand at painting 20mm Napoleonics i have allways wanted to build a large dio of Waterloo in this scale.
After looking at Warriors great set ups it was just the kick i needed to get started :D.
These figs are Newline from the UK and what i like about buying these miniatures is the cost of postage {about the same as a postage stamp }.
I will post more pics later as i get more done {im aiming for 100 for the Square}.
Then lots of Cav .

Thanks Captain but i get a lot of insperation looking at your 1/72 dio's :)

Frankly, I don't understand how anyone can see something so small to paint, but your figures look good. George's (Warrior's) 20mm Napoleonics are indeed inspirational, and you can do so much in that scale without space restrictions. Enjoy! I am working on a square, myself...in 54mm. I am not sure my table can support the weight of a 54mm square. :)

Excellent stuff and well painted used to do 1/72nd stuff and know how hard it is to get the detail you have. Look forward to more pics as your lines get bigger
Mitch

Many thanks guys..sure will add more pics as the lines get bigger Mitch.
Scarlet i also have 54mm Naps going as well but i realy want to get that real mass effect like in the overhead shots you se in the "Waterloo Movie" and i think this scale will work well for what i have in mind.
on a 6x4 table i should be able to fit 4-5 Square's plus heaps of french cav well thats the plan :D
Cheers
Rob,

Rob,

Great work Ragnar, nice to see another 20mm collector join the ranks.

Newline makes great figures, they and Kennington are two of the best.

Art Miniaturen from German by far makes THE best figures, but their customer service is beyond terrible, not to mention no credit card, no money orders, no paypal, he wants a wire transfer AND he expects the customer to pay HIS bank fees for the transfer.

Too bad, the figures are top shelf, the service is bottom shelf.

Keep us posted, you do very nice work...........

Cheers Warrior and thanks for the heads up on Art Miniaturen i did here some were that they are nice figures.
But with service like that i will avoid .....Very happy with Newline.
Will have to look more into the Kennington line.

l love the Newline figures, have loads of them. Also am a fan of Kennington, have to admit I am also a distributor of his products. Nothing wrong with being a fan AND selling the figures, I do like them alot.

Qualitycast used to make beautiful figures, they are out of production I'm afraid and the owner has no desire to either sell the molds or put them back into production (I have asked afew times, no go)..........

Shame about the Qualitycast molds a bit of a waste to have them sitting around collecting dust.
