My next dio is taking shape in my mind, on the drawing table and is gradually materializing.
Here are some pics taken on the 6th June 1944 in Baudienville/Normandy (2,5km from Sainte -Mère-Eglise)
Café J.Philippe Epicerie with men from the US 4th division taking a rest and a picture of the built in 1/30 scale which will be the centre piece of my dio

That building is looking good Guy. I'm looking forward to see the finished dio.

thanks. It's just a rough representation of the building you spot in the 1944 picture . Now it becomes interesting, painting and adding all the details( broken windows, telephone and electricity cables, etc ..) Hopefully I will find enough figures in the right position to imitate the picture as much as possible

Looks like it's going to be another great diorama, can't wait to see the finished product!
The building looks very similar to some 28mm buildings I have worked with, is this a laser wood cut building? never seen any in a larger 1/30th scale?

that is a really nice replica of the building in the photo...

your sign really makes it perfect...

What a fab building! I look forward to seeing the completed scene with K&C additions.

Hasn't changed much has it? Maybe just a fresh coat of paint.

The difference is a new coat of plaster on the facade and two dormer windows on the roof instead of one above the door in 1944
guy:)
