I love Stuarts, but KC's Normandy version was too short and not very well proportioned and the CS version was way too overscaled. I had been looking for the retired older K/C Stuart but have not found one reasonbly priced...SO I married the FOV track system to the K/C tank body..I need to add filler and repaint accordingly. I understand that the fender arrangement might not be appropriate for the amount of track bogies showing, but I was always interested to see how easy polystone could be cut and handled. This allows the Stuart to be taller and fit in more appropriately with the rest of my collection. It is OK to boo and hiss now for my defiling an ancient and valuable K/C artifact..:redface2: Michael

very inventive and a great idea. I agree its very easy to cut and reshape polystone. Thats a good job and look forward to seeing the finished conversion

Good idea please post the finished tank it looks good so far --Good luck Mike B.

Just to finish this up....Photos show the roughness of the marriage of the K/C and FOV parts, so I decided to K/C grunge the joints and paint it an off black....Michael

If those who have the original K/C Stuart will note, it seemed very low vertically compared to all figures and any other armor. Compared to hese comparison photos, the new vehicle seems to fit in better...Michael

I don't think people realise how difficult a job this would have been and, I think its a very good conversion.

Thanks, Mitch..Maybe I should have put this in the modeling forum, but since it was mostly a K/C piece, I presented it here. Guess it was as if I sprayed painted a stain glass window in a church. Surely I am going to hell for trying to fix an release issue.. Michael

For us modeler types old products by all of the manufacturers are not up to standard. You should see the Blood Bath that is going on in the BSP shops......We are tearing up all kinds of Vehicles and Figures.....I mean it is really getting bad, nothing is sacred  You will see the results in future episodes of TGC. Alex

Michael...

I think this is the right place as its a K&C piece. Don't know about the hell bit If one does not think its right whether design or paint etc and, have paid for it then convert it and be more happy with it.

Also K&C was known to be a little weak in the tread department..........I see the new Stug looks pretty good though.

Michael, you are my hero. Remodeling a perfectly good model. I usually just chop up broken ones for myself and comission work. Ok and a few good ones too I guess. Anyway Kudos to you for having the grit to do it.
