Can someone tell me what these are and why they sold for so much? (1 Viewer)

Mark,

They are WS 01 or WS 02 and are pretty rare. They can usually hit $ 1,000. When I saw them I knew what they were. I'm not sure the seller did but I'll bet he likes the results :)

I don't think he was the buyer, however. At any rate, it's WS 01. I have one of the figures from the set but was never able to buy the whole set. By the way, Bill does have it on his site.

I couldn't tell if it was the glossy or the matte version, probably matte. I believe the glossy tends to be more expensive. I had the gloss version of the matte figure that I had and sold it for a nice chunk of change.

WS 01 and WS 02 were also made in AK versions and they're rarer still. If you have Louis' book, you can see photos of the WS and AK versions.

I'm not up on KC's numbering system. Is this the MG set with a gunner, a guy resting the MG on his shoulder and a radio guy behind a brickwall?

Just took these pics. Is this the one?

Thats very strange because I have about 40 current Ebay listings with some older rare K&C items and Im pretty sure I have this listed in two or three seperate auctions...I think maybe the radio guy Im missing the radio and may not have even llisted him because of that...Im going to go see! I think 50% of these items I have listed in this group of stuff have some sort of flaw/s the other 50% seem flawless or close to it.
