Does anyone know of any Canadian WWII metal toy soldiers??

I would be willing to pay any price for them.

Thanks,

Marc

Hey Mark,

Sorry I do not know of any Canadian WWII pieces and I'm greatly disapointed in the fact that they don't make any that I know of all I know is that spirit of the empire makes canadian troops but, not from that era.

From,
Mitch

I believe the Del Prado line has a figure or 2 of canadians and the King and country Staghound Armored car is supposed to represent a Canadian unit as well, I am refering to WWII items.
Hope thats a start,
Ray

Bonjour Marc,

À ma connaissance, les seuls soldats canadiens représentés sont ceux qui accompagnent le Staghound de K&C (as Ray said). Vous êtes chanceux, il est toujours disponible:); vous ne vous ruinerez pas:p Vous êtes de quel endroit?

Pierre.

Hi Guys,

I was going to say that Pierre should be the guy to talk to here since he was from the land to the north of us. And he pops in to give us his two cents in french. My french is really rusty so I guess I will have to wait for the subtitles to kick in.:D

Dave

I believe his first sentence says that to his knowledge the only soldiers are those that accompany the Staghound. Not sure of the rest.

Hi guys,

Sorry for the french. A little fantasy.

Here is the translation:

Hi Marc,

To my knowledge, the only canadian soldiers represented are the ones with the Staghound from K&C (as Ray said). You are lucky, they are still available:) ; you will not be ruined:p Where do you stay?

(not a part of the translation):

Dave, what about some Delhi Durbar by K&C at a 1/32 scale? There's still two mystery series to come.

Brad, I'll send you a PM.

Pierre.

Thanks guys I think that should help.

Et pour ceux-là de vous qui speek français, remercie pour votre aide. Si vous voyez que n'importe quoi juste poste plus sur ce forum (j'espère que ceci a raison mon français est un petit rouillé)

And for those of you who speek french, thanks for your help. If you see anything more just post on this forum ( I hope this is right my french is a little rusty)

Thanks,

Marc

Like the others have already posted I have only seen K&C produce a WWII Canadian unit Staghound. I believe there is a K&C Mountie but other than that a poor representation of Canada by any company. There was just not the flair I guess in our uniforms or we were just grouped in as the Allies along with the British. Not that was a bad thing at all....

Hi Guys,

Thanks for confirming the poor translation I had made already its funny when you dont use a language for a very long time and still are able to get some of the translation right. As for the Durbar by King and Country I would be a big fan but it would have to fit the rest of the display and be 54mm so it wouldnt look odd against the rest of my collection. I hope some one does do some Canadian Troops for you guys they would be well received all over.

All the best

Dave

I seem to remember that Trophy Miniatures had WW II Canadians, but they might have been WW I.

Commonwealth troops are not very well represented by manufacturers. Canadian uniforms are so similar to British, you don't see them much. There are a few Australian sets and fewer New Zealand sets. I don't ever recall seeing South Africans. I also assume that the manufactures don't see much demand for them.

BTW, there is a company called Hiriart which hasd a least six (none are WW II) Canadian sets. They include the 22nd Regt, the Royal Canadian Regt, the Grenadier Guards, the Ontario Highlanders, and 2 sets of NWCMP.

I don't have the money that mwh94 has since he is willing to pay any price but I like your "be patient" reply. Sounds like something is in the works. Thanks Ken for the future hopes...
