I am jusr beginnig to put together displays from the mats, bases, buildings, AFVs and figures I have. That way I will be able to identify needed diorama accessories to complete a scene. There are 28 display shelves.

The first one is Canadians & Brits Storm Ashore Past an Overturned LCV4

Really great display......I don't have any brits yet, but your display is making me change my mind on them.....

It requires a special lack of ability to layer sticky sheets. They are scraps from a friends graphic arts business. He gave me a sheet of a hideous high gloss blue colour and several clear, mat finish sheets. Each clear sheet had the backing removed exposing the sticky surface which was then place on top of the blue plastic. I couldn't get it on smooth so it ended up with ripples and bubbles that look like foam. The more sheets of clear mat added, the greyer the water becomes. The last layer can have some sand and green weed bits in it near the shore- that will be next
