Andy:

The recently retired GMC Truck was one of the great pieces that K&C has ever produced (I :( have 7 of them). However, the canopy frames are so fragile that they tend to bend and get deformed easily. I took off the frames on 3 of my sets. Any chance that I can get a canvas top cover similar to the old GMC Truck DD07? Maybe some remnants lying around your shop?

I have one of each, but haven't tried the early top on the later truck.

There are options. Since Andy gave us the top bows, you could build a top with tissue stiffened with white glue, or lead foil could be used. If you know someone who might do resin casting you could build a master and have several more cast from it. The bows can probably be repaired with minimal effort. Some 2 1/2 tonners ran without any tops or bows (usually cargo service and/or good weather. Further, sometimes the bows were removed from the sides and were stored at the front of the cargo bed (which eliminates having to glue them back on!).
