so who selects the winners...

I thought it was the dealers...

but someone told me today that he thinks John selects them...

does anybody know?

Depends on the contest I think! I have been asked to select my favorites previously but not this time around.

Pete,

You have us all beat. I have 9 in a row. Mine was #1 this year. Second time that's happened.

I love the contests John does each year and his set ups are hilarious! It is so hard to come up with something creative.

But they sure are a lot of fun!

................it was also really nice to be asked what range I collected. I entered for fun but without wishing to sound ungrateful it is better to win something I can display with my other JJD stuff.

I won a "Chocks Away Santa" a couple of years ago which I gave away on the forum as it seemed a bit churlish to put it on eBay.

On that note and with Christmas approaching I have a hardback copy of Fred Andersons "Crucible of War" which I have finished reading. A really, really good account of the FIW. The spine dust jacket is quite faded but otherwise very readable. Free (I'll even stand the P&P as it's nearly Christmas) to whoever wants it. Send PM with your address.

Simmo.
