Hi Mike,
What an awesome prize for being picked as one of the winners in the caption contest {bravo}}
You are so right, John is "THE MAN", no doubt about it.
Earlier this year I had some email communication with him, and he encouraged me to participate in the caption contest, and so I did.
Well, some time went by and I receive an email from Yvette, telling me that I am one of the winners, asking me for my complete address and what JJD ranges I collect?
I answered with my address and that the Jacobite Rebellion line is the most favorite line for me. I mentioned what sets I still would like to add, that were not in my collection yet.
Again, some time went by and then one day, there's a package for me at my door when I came home from work. It's from Hongkong and on a closer look, I realized it's from John Jenkins.
I was somewhat surprised, since it was rather heavy.
When expecting a prize, I was thinking of a single figure or maybe a 2-piece set.
So, I opened the box and pulled out four boxes, three 2-piece sets and one single figure, all of them from the list that were not in my collection yet.
While I'm inspecting the figures and couldn't believe that I got so much, I realized that the shipping box wasn't empty yet. Below a full covering styrofoam sheet, there was another box, one of his big boxes.
So, beside the 4 sets mentioned above I also received the first one of the Jacobite Rebellion 10th Anniversary Sets, including 10 figures, all Highlanders.
Yes, those would be duplicates, since I had all those Highlanders already, but then again, when now displaying 30 to 40 of Highlanders in a charge, it will be easy to disguise duplicate poses.
17 figures total for participating in the caption contest.
What an extremely generous gift! I just couldn't believe it.
My caption contest comment came in at no. 5 in the rankings :smile2:
Well, congratulations to your "loot", Mike

Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year :salute::
