Thanks to Clive Gande, well reknowned for his ability to melt credit cards with a 5 second sales pitch, I recieved a huge Figarti fix in the mail.

Just took delivery of the Churchill AVRE, Abrams, Stryker, M198 Howitzer and add on crew.

Kudos to Rick W for his continued supporting of the Iraq War line, I know it's not as popular as some of the more mainstream WWII lines, but I hope they sell out to prompt further expansion of this line.

The detail on this series has always been good, the earlier figure releases being a notch above the other Figarti figures of that time, and the latest batch don't dissappoint. The Howitzer, in keping with the figures, is incredibly detailed and the Abrams is a serious chunk of tank.

Paint job on the Churchill is one of the best yet, really impressive shading / filtering.

Just got to figure out now how to integrate them in to the collection without it being too noticable. I may have more difficulties with my next Figarti purchase, but I'll seek advice on that nearer th time.

Hopefully get some playtime soon and get some photos up.

Simon

Awesome Simon - I am extremely jealous. That must have been a heck of a parcel arriving. My favourite out of that lot would be the howitzer. I only have some FOV modern stuff but I really love that gun.

Simon mate,
Sounds like you have a great windfall. Those sets look magic on the screen.
Hoping to see them up close in Chicago. Your post also reminds me to keep well clear of the Grey Goose, Clive whilst in the Windy City.;);)
Cheers Howard

Yes, a rather lovely shade of green I gather! ;)

Look forward to the pics especially the Abrams

The one thing Simon forgot to mention is that he gave Clive Rob's card  :D

Nice haul! How did you sneak them past the misses?:p

What is it with our Misses.....My first wife pretty much divorced me over this, and my new wife is so so about it. It keeps us out of the bars !...Right....

Had a half hour to myself this afternoon, so thought I'd chuck some of the stuff up and see what it looked like. Apologies for the hasty set up, but I needed to create a hasty Baghdad and then disassemble it before she got home.

Great shots! You're making it very difficult to pass up the modern stuff!

Wraith,
Great pics, Abrams and the Stryker! a man after my own heart and probably scrambling to get to the mail box first this month!
another question, with nearly all the combat action in the middle east I'm wondering about the green camo of the Stryker??

Ray, you know you want them....resistance is futile :D

Re the green, from various documentarys and pics, there seems to be a right mix up of colour schemes, especially earlier on in the action. More recently, especially in Afghanistan, most stuff seems to be the more sensible desert camo.

There's a few serving members who could give first hand accounts, I'm sure, and I'd be interested to hear the rationale also.

And now for the BFG9000.... It's HUUUUUGE!!!

James, you can't not get this piece. ;)

Simon, that's quite a lump of polystone/metal you have there!

I sincerely hope you are not going to re-paint a perfectly good looking vehicle with a sandy colour!
