Received the new Carro Armato M13/40, Italian version, this week, and had a question for those of you that have it. Are you able to position the main gun without issue? The one I have the gun is rather loose in the mantlet, so the gun basically droops (i.e. won't stay up... shooting desert rats, literally). Paint were the gun enters the mantlet is scuffed up a bit, as the gun moves back and forth a little as well (not a tight fit).

Any feedback is appreciated. Not sure if this is just the design, or if I got a dud.

Thanks,

-Rich

fairlya bit loose but it does stay up in most positions. Don't think the scuffed paint is causing it to be loose. If you tug on the gun so it is tight forward, that might help. Otherwise it is too loose.

Think it is unfortunately too loose. I've tried pulling forward, but it isn't tight at all, so basically won't stay in any position except straight down. I can kind of get it to stick for a split second sometimes, but then falls under it's own weight rather quickly. Frustrating. Only way I could get it to stay up was by wedging a piece of paper towel under it with a toothpick! The scuffed paint I think is a result of it moving around inside the mantlet due to the loose fit.

ask for a refund or replacement

the recent K&C quality control seems slacking

But the painting looks really good on the M13... The italian tanks initially were grey-green... a coat of khaki was sprayed on top only after they arrived in Libya. The K&C version accurately depicted that.

Any 1:30 or 1:32 italian tank crew scale model out there?

I have never seen any reference photos showing crewmen with sun helmets.

My gun is loose as well. I also had to some minor repair work (re-gluing) but otherwise she sure is a beauty. I'm really looking forward to sitting it up w/ some of the new Italian troops when I get them.

The gun on my captured Aussie model is not loose and can be positioned at different angles. The gun on my Italian version is loose but it can be elevated to its maximum height and it stays in place. They are both beaut models.
